22 of 23 peptide vendors post a purity test for BPC-157, and 3 post a sterility test

Findings

1. Six of 29 online research-peptide vendors had closed, gone offline or turned into affiliate sites, and 23 were selling on 25 September 2026.
2. Twenty-two of the 23 post a purity (HPLC) result for BPC-157, and 12 confirm its identity by mass spectrometry.
3. Eleven post an endotoxin result, 5 a heavy-metals result and 3 a sterility result, and 11 post none of the three.
4. Fifteen let a buyer match a lot number to its report.
5. Fourteen post at least one report that does not match what it is attached to.
6. Six claim tests on their product pages that their posted reports do not show.
7. A 5 mg vial costs $24.99 to $60.00, a median of $42.00 at 17 vendors, and price per milligram does not rise consistently with the number of contamination tests a vendor posts.

How to read these numbers. A test counts when a report posted for the product on sale shows a result for it, whether or not the result passed. A test mentioned only in product-page copy does not count. We read the documents vendors post. We did not test any product or look reports up on lab portals, so a report can be checked for internal consistency but not confirmed as genuine. BPC-157 is not an FDA-approved drug, and the FDA lists it among bulk drug substances that may present significant safety risks in compounding. This bulletin describes documents, not products or their use, and names no vendor.

Purity is the one test nearly every vendor posts: 22 of the 23 active vendors (95.7%) show an HPLC purity result for BPC-157. Identity is thinner. Twelve (52.2%) confirm the compound by mass spectrometry, and the rest rely on HPLC retention time, FTIR or nothing.

The tests that speak to contamination are rarer still. Endotoxin results appear at 11 vendors (47.8%), heavy metals at 5 (21.7%) and sterility at 3 (13.0%).

Two vendors post all three. Eleven post none, so their reports cover purity and, at most, identity.

Matching a report to a vial

Fifteen vendors (65.2%) tie their reports to lots or keep a searchable lot library, so a buyer can match the lot on a vial to a report. Six post one report per product that is not tied to the lot on sale. One posts a single sample report and one posts none.

Twenty name an outside lab on their reports (87.0%). Two post reports on their own letterhead with no lab named. For 16 vendors (69.6%), the newest report we could find was dated 27 June 2026 or later. For one, it was dated January 2023.

Reports that do not match what they are attached to

Fourteen of the 23 active vendors (60.9%) post at least one report that does not match the product or lot it sits next to. The most common cases are reports naming another company as the client and lot fields that hold a vial cap color or a chemical's CAS number in place of a batch number (4 vendors each). Three post reports whose dates are out of order, such as an analysis date before the date the sample was received, or that do not match the batch listed on the product page. Two post a report for a different size or product, and two use one lot number for different compounds.

Claims the reports do not back

Six vendors (26.1%) name a test in their product-page copy that none of their posted BPC-157 reports shows. The claimed tests are mass spectrometry, sterility, endotoxin and heavy metals.

Labs named on the reports

Seven labs appear on reports from two or more vendors, led by Janoshik (6 vendors), Freedom Diagnostics Testing and Vanguard Laboratory (5 each) and MZ Biolabs (4). Eight more labs are each named by a single vendor.

Seventeen vendors sell a 5 mg vial of BPC-157, at list prices from $24.99 to $60.00 and a median of $42.00. Counting the vendors that sell only a 10 mg vial, the price per milligram runs from $3.40 to $12.00 at 22 vendors, a median of $7.70.

Posting more tests does not come with a consistently higher price. Vendors that post none of the three contamination tests charge a median of $7.18 per milligram (11 vendors), and the two that post all three charge a median of $7.50.

Method

Sources. Each vendor's BPC-157 product page, the lab reports posted on it or in the vendor's report library, the newest report we could find, and the vendor's shipping and refund pages, read on 25 September 2026. Image reports were read with on-device text recognition and checked by eye.

Sample. Sixteen vendors from a starting list of vendors often named in buyer discussions and AI assistant answers, and 14 more found through web searches ("buy BPC-157 USA", "research peptides third party tested", "peptide vendor COA Janoshik", "best peptide vendors reddit 2026") and through a closed vendor's list of referral partners. One starting vendor was left out because it sells no research peptides, which leaves 29. Twenty-two of the 23 active vendors state that they ship from the United States.

Definitions.

• A test is posted when a report shown for the BPC-157 product on sale reports a result for it, including companion reports for the same lot. Identity by HPLC retention time or by FTIR does not count as mass spectrometry.
• The contamination tests are endotoxin, heavy metals and sterility.
• A buyer can match a lot number to its report when the reports carry a batch number and the site ties them to the lot on sale or offers a lot library or search.
• A mismatch is a report that names a different size or product, names another company as the client, holds something other than a batch number in its lot field, repeats one lot number across different compounds, lists one lot twice with different results, has dates out of order or not matching the listing, or carries no lab name on the vendor's own letterhead.
• Prices are single-vial list prices before coupons, quantity tiers and memberships.

Exclusions. Telehealth clinics and compounding pharmacies that prescribe peptides are not in this sample. Vendors whose products or reports sit behind a login or an age check, and one that ships only within Canada, were left out.

Names. This bulletin reports totals and names no vendor. It names labs only as they are printed on reports.

Known limits. The sample is a single day's read of 29 vendors, and some groups in the tables are small. We did not look reports up on lab portals, which ask for a code or contact details, and we did not buy or test any product.
