Findings

1. Four of 21 home infrared sauna brands link a lab report for their EMF figures, and 2 of those 4 reports are dated 2018 or earlier.
2. Ten print EMF figures with no lab report linked, 5 use low-EMF wording without a number, and 2 make no EMF statement.
3. Four print EMF figures that conflict on their own sites, and the printed figures were measured anywhere from the heater surface to 3 feet away.
4. Five brands cover the cabin for 1 year, and 4 cover it for life.
5. Six use the word lifetime in their warranty wording while the terms cap coverage at a set number of years, and 2 define lifetime as seven years.
6. The cheapest 2-person cabin lists at $1,999 to $9,780 across the 17 brands that post a price, a median of $5,499, and 4 brands post no cabin price at all.
7. Seventeen brands state a 30-day return window, 6 state a restocking fee of 15% to 50%, and 3 advertise a trial or money-back offer that their return terms narrow.

How to read these numbers. We read what each brand publishes and did not measure any sauna. EMF (electromagnetic field) figures are counted as the brands print them. A lab report counts as linked when the brand's site links the testing lab's own report, and a summary of results prepared for the brand does not count. This bulletin describes published figures and terms, not the effects of sauna use, and names no brand.

Most brands put a low EMF figure on their product pages. Few show where it came from. Seven of the 21 name a lab for their figure, and 4 link the lab's report. Two of those 4 reports are dated 2018 or earlier.

The figures cannot be compared across brands. Printed readings were taken at the heater surface, 2 to 3 inches from the panels, at the center of a heater, at the seat, and at 1 to 3 feet, and a reading taken at the panel is not comparable with one taken at the seat. Four brands print figures that conflict on their own sites, such as one figure on a product page and a lower one in the FAQ.

Cabin coverage splits into two groups. Five brands cover the cabin for 1 year, and 12 cover it for 7 years, 10 years or life. Heater coverage runs longer: 6 brands cover heaters for 7 years and 6 for life.

The word lifetime does less work than it seems to. Six brands use it in a headline, badge or warranty line while the terms themselves give a set number of years, and 2 define lifetime in their terms as seven years. Three require the sauna to be bought and used within one year of its manufacture date for the warranty to apply. Labor is excluded by several brands, and most cover the original buyer only.

Seventeen brands post a price for a 2-person cabin. The cheapest 2-person cabin at each brand lists at $1,999 to $9,780, a median of $5,499. Twelve post a 1-person cabin price, from $1,499 to $8,560, a median of $4,999.

Four brands post no cabin price and send buyers to a quote form or a dealer. Ten showed a sale banner or a struck reference price on 25 September 2026, including sales named for holidays or seasons that had passed and struck prices that bundle delivery or memberships into the reference figure. Three list their cheapest 2-person cabin below their cheapest 1-person cabin.

Returns

A 30-day return window is the norm, stated by 17 of 21 brands. The terms behind it vary. Six brands state a restocking fee, from 15% to 50% of the price. Three advertise a trial or money-back offer that their return terms narrow by excluding used, opened or discounted saunas, and 2 allow use during a trial but leave the buyer to pay return freight.

Sample. Sixteen brands from a starting list of brands often named in buyer discussions and AI assistant answers, and 7 more found through four web searches on 25 September 2026: "best infrared sauna brands 2026", "low EMF infrared sauna home", "full spectrum infrared sauna 2 person price" and one search to locate a brand's own site. Two starting brands were left out because they sell no infrared cabin: one sells only traditional saunas and one only a portable fabric enclosure. That leaves 21 brands that sell infrared cabins direct to US buyers.

Definitions.

• The cheapest 1-person and 2-person cabins are the lowest-priced cabins sold for one and for two people, including "1-2 person" and "2-3 person" labels. Sold-out models and portable units are not counted.
• Prices are the selling price shown on the product or listing page, before coupon codes and checkout-only discounts.
• Warranty terms are the most specific component-level terms found. A lifetime term is counted as lifetime.
• EMF disclosure is one of four kinds: a linked lab report, figures printed with no report linked (including brand-prepared summaries), low-EMF wording with no number, or no statement.

Exclusions. Retailers and dealers that resell other brands, marketplace sellers without a brand site, and sauna blankets are not in the sample.

Names. This bulletin reports totals and names no brand.

Known limits. Prices and promotions change often. Certifications and EMF figures are recorded as printed and were not checked with the certifier or the lab. Some groups in the tables are small.
